Flooding Affects Churches United Hunger Ministry

Gaines Chapel AME Church in East Moline which holds one of our food pantries, is totally flooded. Although the church sanctuary is still functional, the entire downstairs and fellowship hall has been flooded with river and sewer waters. This downstairs area is also where the food pantry is located and has been functioning as a pantry for over 20 years!!! This pantry will be in need of individuals to help clean up, and will need resources to replace freezers, refrigerators etc. We will keep you posted as to the status of this pantry.
